Did you enjoy the PhotoTrek?Very much
Yes thank you
What did you find most interesting?
Finding out about histograms
Understanding the effect of light
And the most boring!
Nothing.
The top pond when the public arrived and the macro bit at the end. Using a flower would have been more interesting.
Did you find the group size okay, too big or too small?
Just right
The size of the group was perfect. Appeared that everyone was getting a lot of individual attention
Was the time too long, too short or about right?
For the subject matter that we covered, the session length seemed about right. I would have been happy to attend a longer session though.
What did you enjoy most and why?
Finding out about other settings on my camera other that auto.
Beautiful scenery
What did you least enjoy.
Nothing.
So that we can hone aspects for the future:
Did you enjoy the format?
Yes, I liked the way that each camera function was introduced gradually with enough time to practice setting before moving to the next.
Was it instructive enough?
Yes
Was there too much information or too little?
I believe that for the trek that the information was set about right for the attending group. I personally would have enjoyed going in a little deeper.
What did you think of the location?
Perfect location. Beautiful scenery. Weather couldn't have been better.
Superb
Please comment on the venue facilities and food.
Seemed all OK
Was your booking handled correctly?
Yes. Ordered over the telephone. Information arrived 2 days later
What other aspects of photography would you like to cover?
The trek has got me wanting to take photography further.
I would like to learn more about raw, exposure control, lighting, differnt equipment etc.
I would like to get to know how to take good wildlife photography.
Am hoping with practice to produce a picture that I wouldn't be afraid to frame.
In your own words, please describe your overall experience of the workshop, what you liked, what you didn’t, what you learnt etc?
Nothing that I didn't like.
Learnt AV, ISO, exposure compensation, histograms.
How by varying all these to speed up, slow down shutter times, change depth of field etc.
Managed to get a picture of a small waterfall with individual droplets of water.
I liked the one on one feedback - a little more please. I felt a bit intimidated by not having a proper camera. It would have been good to have uploaded the photos at the end or printed out a couple to get more constructive feedback just before lunch. I loved the range of light to practice with.
I loved the ripples in the water. I would have liked to have known that a tripod would have been useful.
