Thanks again for a great trek out and being gentle with me again! I have again added many new lines to my photo do's and don'ts list from listening to and watching you on this last trip. I certainly feel I am getting everything I wanted from these excursions with you.
Thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
Most interesting? The discussion about composition of pictures and when you set your camera up for us to look at it. Also when you would show the difference just by moving the camera slightly and seeing how much it altered the composition.
Getting a better appreciation of light and how to change camera settings to compensate, improve image, etc.
Learning about how light changes and effects how we can photograph an image
Learning about how to use my camera and build picture in your mind.
I like the challenges set
It went logically and slowly enough to get to grips with what we had to do
I thoroughly enjoyed this photo trek-I felt that the content was adapted to suit all, if I'd have wanted more instruction, advice,I felt that it would be no problem-this is why group size is so important as all abilities and experience can be mixed.I am a person who learns by doing- for this reason books/magazines are not enough and I shall definitely book again, hopefully each time- reinforcing what I have learned and understood from previous treks and building on it, even if this means some repetition in order to grasp understanding of basic concepts.
I enjoyed it all, time just flew by, all over too quickly
Wouldn't really say that there was a boring bit.
The location was ideal, it had lots of things to photograph, plus a nice setting to learn.
I had a very enjoyable evening. The group memebers were a great bunch and Ian was very friendly. I liked the pace and the way the instruction was given, although there was a structure to it (ie the way Ian went through the process of taking a picture) it was very relaxed and was carried out in a way that suits me. I learnt a massive amount about my camera and how to start using it. Things such as ISO, aperture and exposure compensation. Also a lot about composition, although i had read about "the rule of thirds" the way Ian demonstrated it was very good. The evening has also made me aware that i have a lot to learn and that i need to be out taking photos and not to be scared in altering the settings on the camera.
This was one of the best birthday presents ever. I had a great time and enjoyed the whole evening. I am looking forward to the next time. I would recommend your workshops; they are fun, interesting and very knowledgeable. Thank you.
I really loved the evening workshop. I wasn't sure what it was going to be like, but it fulfilled my hopes. I learnt a lot about my camera and a lot more about how to compose pictures.
