I can honestly say that there was no part of the evening that I did not enjoy.location? Superb
Excellent because of the different aspects of the shingle bank and the sea, the marshland and the port area.
Fortunate to go onto the right Phototrek i.e. at the right level for me. It was well structured and taught, very friendly and unintimidating. I have spent time since going over what I learned and re-enforcing what I learned. This is the first event of this kind that I have been on and it has set a very standard indeed. I look forward to going on another before the end of the year. Thank you Ian.
I cannot asy that any part of the evening was in any way boring.
My main reasons for attending the PhotoTrek was to develop my understanding and control of my camera and continuing to learn how to see the picture in the landscape.
What I learnt most of all was that when the light is changing as rapidly as it did that evening the changes in the light of and colour on the landscape as as rapid. The time actually available to take the photograph that is wanted can be quite short and if the first image is not quite right there is a fair chance that the opportunity to capture that particular image has gone. Observation to find the picture in the landscape and being in exactly the right place at exactly the right time to capture it are essential and require prior preparation.
I also learnt more about checking the histograms and was introduced to setting the White Balance and not just using the Automatic White Balance and introduced to setting the Colour Temperature and and its effects on the image.
Overall a good and enjoyable PhotoTrek and I look forward to attending at least one of your Workshops in the future.
