I thoroughly enjoyed the Phototrek, despite the appalling weather cutting the field work short. To be with both Ian and Barry was an eye opening experience. I have been into photography for many years and have read the books and magazines so know something about most of what was covered. But I have always had a problem putting it into practice when I lift the camera to my eye and this is where the Phototrek really helped. I was shown how to look at things in a different way and how to work around the subject. I particularly liked the tuition about composition and exposure compensation. I now try to think a little more about what I am doing. Finally looking at the presentation on Ian’s Laptop, was inspirational, being giving the chance to ask how Ian and Barry actually achieved some of their shots was also very interesting and useful.
