Once I started I could have carried on for hours - but the light wouldn't have let us!(I enjoyed) The sunset - I rarely get the chance to go out and just take photos without interruption.
Great location- scope to do landscapes plus zoom in on interesting trees.
A very relaxed atmosphere - the perfect opportunity to learn and take lovely shots of a beautiful location.
All of the information about light and the impact it has on the objects you are trying to photograph. It was great to have Ian and Barry looking at the shots I had taken immediately and provide feedback on them - which proved to be extremely useful.
Group size was fine - it meant that if you wanted some help or guidance, Ian and Barry were able to give it. Being out for several hours with like minded individuals also meant that ideas and tips were exchanged with each other....! It was great to hear about other phototreks people had done too!
The session built up bit by bit bringing all of the pieces together at the end.
An excellent few hours spent with like minded people, learning from two professionals! I would guess that everybody took something different away from the session. I will definately be booking another one as I know that I will learn different things each time. On this session, I particuarly enjoyed using the exposure compensation and learning about histograms - and using them in adjusting the settings on my camera. Whilst I had attended an evening class prior to this session, I had never learnt about this.
